Entry #11 - Final Thoughts

Hey guys! This saddens me to say, but this is my final post. I have had so much fun ranting, explaining, and expressing about anything and everything that exists. I have been stressing about what to talk about and hoped that the topics that were discussed were enjoyable and maybe somewhat relevant to your life.

This blog I took very seriously, not only was my professor grading this, but I had an audience. I had you grading and judging this blog by what is posted. I wanted to relate to my audience as much as possible. Knowing what I share could affect someone reading or give ideas to help with something as simple as a Christmas gift. I loved blogging. I got to express opinions, and ideas to the public with little to no shame at all! Unfortunately, I don't believe blogging is my "thing". I enjoyed it, but it wasn't who I am. I don't write for fun and I definitely don't blog for fun.

I definitely learned a lot from this blogging experience. I learned how to express my what I am thinking about at that moment. I also learned rhetoric and what that is all about. I don't think I would've totally understood the concept without it. I understood who my audience was and how to relate to their problems or situations. I know what my purpose for writing was and I enjoyed writing it. Lastly, tone of voice. I could express my tone how ever I liked. Although, it is much easier over a blog than and essay. I can bold my words to make them important. I can italicize my words to kind so whatever, usually it was to make a classy exit, or I could've CAPITALIZED my words to make them pop or to express excitement.

Blogging revealed a lot to me. This was my first semester in college, and this project showed me how to multitask and how to battle a lot of work into little time. I think I can use these skills not just learned from this blog, but from the ENG 102 course, and use them in my future classes.

At first I thought that blogging was a ridiculous, stupid, and useless project. I had never written a blog and I have read very little blogs like mine, because I believed they were dumb. Since I have been doing this, I am more knowledgeable and aware of how difficult this was. It was a really great assignment for students, teaching them how to write with a more relaxed environment. I hate writing and so then this allowed myself to break through my shell and write like people are supposed to write. I am no longer in highschool and I am no longer restricted to a specific subject. I can be me within this blog. Earlier I said blogging isn't me and I mean that as I just don't write for fun.

Overall blogging was a great experience that taught me a lot. I will use the tools and ideas that I learned from this project for future classes, and how I can improve my writing in all classes. I am a little sad that my blogging days are now behind me, but I am also relieved that blogging isn't apart of my every day life. I will miss my audience and I hope you enjoyed my previous posts, I had a lot of fun and dont forget to CREATE SOME ENGLISH!!!!
