Entry #10 - Holiday Spirit

Hey everyone! I wanted to get you all pumped for the holiday season, so today I will be talking all things Christmas and New Years. I am personally so hype and excited this year. I couldn't tell you exactly why I am pumped for the season, but I am. I get to buy gifts for my family and score on awesome deals on almost everything!! The only sucky part is usually what you want they didn't discount so you're stuck paying full price. But that is beside the point of giving!!!! WOOHOO!

Christmas is a beautiful holiday where family and friends come together and exchange gifts and surprise kids with amazing toys! Although it can become very expensive, if money isn't spent wisely. There are so many toys out there on the market for all ages.

There are also so many decorations for Christmas such as trees, lights and stockings. It's such a beautiful time to go around the neighborhood and to see the beautiful lights. There are even light shows the people set up. What I mean by this is that people have their lights flash to music on the radio. They usually have a sign stating "turn to ..." and the music dances!!! Its such an amazing experience. There are also drive thru light shows, filled with thousands of lights that you can drive through. It is a perfect way to get into the spirit. 

Stockings are also a holiday tradition. It can be decorated however you want. It can be filled too! Usually with candy, but a lot of small items can be filled in it too! If you have pets It would be so cute giving them a stocking and filling it with treats. I love the little things in traditions.

Even holiday traditions can last forever. I know for myself I had a a tradition of spreading glitter all over my front lawn. That way santa could see the shiney yard to invite Santa to my house. It was such an exciting time when I could dump my glitter. I also would throw whole carrots on the roof for the reindeer. When I would wake up I grab the ladder and see all the chewed up carrots. It was so cool and my parents knew exactly how to make me smile on christmas morning. The only thing I wish I could've gotten was my video of santa putting down the gifts but my camera died.... Oh well, these other traditions make the holidays beautiful and a wonderful time of the year.
