Entry #3 - What Could It Really Mean?
Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing well! I know it has been an insanely busy and crazy holiday season. There is one subject I do want to discuss during this "jolly" season, social media. It is an insanely dangerous tool that can either destroy or build a reputation for a person or company. For a specific business in Arizona, there is a business that uses social media to benefit themselves. I've included the link from Fox 10, they described "Liberty Market" in Old Town Gilbert finding themselves with a ton of customers that have seen pictures and reviews on yelp. Fox 10 is a news station reporting on how a restaurant has found more business through the power of the social media.
This is amazing!! I'm so in love with food, and so when there is a business that is striving with amazing food in the state that I live, of course I will be there within the hour. This report talks to me. Food is so delicious and having food posted on a social media with great reviews, speaks straight to food lovers around the world. It also talks to those on social media to promote a business. I mean why else would the news report on a restaurant that has found its way into social media craze??? Everything used to be word of mouth, but now it is all about likes and shares on social media.
Social media spreads like wildfire! One a person shares a picture over 100 people can see that and boom you could potentially have 100 new customers. It is a great way to promote business! A business can even have their own social media account on Instagram or Twitter. They can post amazing looking food and provide great reviews! That is what people want to see and hear. Especially if this is coming form
This isn't giving a news report on how a business found social media. This report seems like it is promoting a business and not talking about all sides. There is also the side of how dangerous social media can be. Putting the power in the people's hands can kill the business. If they mess up in anyway it will spread even faster... That is a huge aspect that they didn't talk about and personally I would be terrified.
Guys let me know what you think of this report... I feel like it's informing but it isn't an actual report. I could be totally off base but let me know what you think. I certainly believe it is a slanted report.... It says one thing, but definitely means another! Thanks guys for reading and staying with me through this blog don't forget to Create some English
(This picture represents a social media term "food porn". Making you hungry by looking at just a photo.)
